Nobody in Greece probably knows this, but a conference called “11th International Aerosol Conference” is being held in Athens this week.
Scientists from allover the world gathered to talk about Air Quality and aerosols, aka the invisible air particles that cause Air Pollution and that make us sick and kill us.
To me the big question is: Is there anyone there who can bridge the gap between the scientist talk and the reality of a city and country engulfed in Air pollution? Will any politician attend the conference? I seriously doubt that.
But shouldn’t be civil society and politicians attend these conferences too? Why this huge gap between the science of Air Quality, and the putting in practice of the measures to improve the Air we breathe?
Funny, the Air Quality inside the venue is bad too! So many air quality sensors say it at the same time.
